Please join us for our October 7th Branch meeting at 7pm on Zoom. We will be hosting a presentation from the League of Women Voter's San Luis Obispo chapter. Ed Cabrera, who is the head of the Pros and Cons Committee, will be giving a presentation about some of the important Ballot Propositions that we will be voting on in November.
The Pros and Cons committee, with guidance from the League of Women Voters of California and using the League's general principles of how to analyze a ballot measure, prepare discussion presentations on state ballot measures and present this analysis to local community groups such as AAUW-SLO. Some of the items covered involve identifying what the issue is, what the measure is trying to accomplish, who is funding a particular issue, etc.
