At our year-end branch meeting, the following branch members were recognized for their contributions of $50 or more to AAUW Funds in 2025:
- Barbara Ciesielski
- Maureen Dresp
- Charlene Hopp
- Diane Howard
- Mary Jefferson
- Shelly Johnson
- Peggy Papathakis
- Esther Pudlo
- Betty Tuft
- Susan Updegrove
- Debra Valencia-Laver
A handful of other members made smaller contributions, and it all added up to $2151 – enough (plus some) to distinguish two individuals as Named Gift Honorees, who will be recognized at our Fall Kick-Off Meeting. Thank you all who donated!!
For 2026, you might consider a gift, large or small, when you're renewing your membership, to say "thank you" for the special notecards designed by AAUW members, or in response to a special appeal such as the 2026 Annual Fund Giving Drive taking place through June 30:
In the face of unprecedented challenges to women’s access to education, an anonymous donor has agreed to support the largest matching gift opportunity in AAUW history. Please don’t miss this opportunity to help us make history! Every gift made to AAUW’s Public Policy Fund will be matched dollar-for-dollar up to $250,000 to protect and expand access to higher education for women and students with the greatest financial need.
And your gift helps our branch, too!!! For every $750 our branch members donate, we can identify one Named Gift Honoree (up to two, per our branch's practice). And increasing the number of individual donors (at any amount) as well as the average amount donated per our member count helps us earn the Advancement Star in AAUW's 5-Star Program.
So, yes, your support DOES make a difference!
